Online trading platform IG Group (LSE: IGG) has named Breon Corcoran as its new chief executive officer starting January 29th 2024. Corcoran brings experience from the betting industry, having previously served as CEO of Flutter Entertainment where he oversaw the 2016 mega-merger of Paddy Power and Betfair.
IG Group shares edge up Friday but remain down 10% over the past year.
The 52-year-old Corcoran has also been CEO of payments company WorldRemit and currently chairs Auction Technology Group. He will take over from interim IG Group CEO Charlie Rozes, who will continue as CFO once Corcoran joins.
