Microsoft has announced plans to open a new artificial intelligence (AI) hub in London, focused on developing and researching new AI products.
The unit will be led by industry heavyweight Mustafa Suleyman, the London-born co-founder of Google DeepMind, who Microsoft hired last month.
This move strengthens Microsoft’s position in the booming AI market, particularly as they already support OpenAI, the creators of ChatGPT.
The new hub is also expected to create new jobs in the UK, furthering the country’s ambitions of becoming a global AI leader.
