Groundhog Day at TopStep: ProjectX Down for Third Straight Day

ProjectX offline third day; TopStep traders call out repeated outages, demanding resets, refunds, or action.

Bert O Bert O

ProjectX is offline for a third day in a row, and if you’re a TopStep trader, it’s starting to feel like you’re stuck in a very expensive loop of frustration. Yesterday was bad. Today? Worse. Groundhog day has nothing on this.

Two days of unexplained outages were already testing patience. Now, three consecutive days of downtime is no longer a technical hiccup, it’s a pattern. Traders are paying for access to a platform they can’t use, and the financial and psychological cost is mounting. Missed setups, wasted evaluation days, and lost opportunities are stacking up, while TopStep offers nothing beyond vague apologies.

The silence is infuriating. No clear explanations, no timeline for fixes, no resets, no compensation. Void trades during outages? That doesn’t help those who couldn’t enter positions at all. Free resets, account credits, or disabling new combines purchases until the platform is stable are the bare minimum traders are now demanding. Anything less feels like being ignored.

CEO Michael Patak’s posts on X are no longer enough. Apologies without action are meaningless when outages are recurring and peak trading hours are repeatedly impacted. Traders have watched this happen twice this week already, and now three times, with no visible solution. The message from the community is simple: fix ProjectX properly, communicate honestly, or stop pretending this is a professional-grade trading environment.

For those relying on the platform, yesterday’s and today’s downtime have cemented a hard truth. Trust is gone, patience is gone, and the excuses have worn thin. This is TopStep’s groundhog day, and traders are fed up.
