Entain swings to annual loss despite revenue surge

Entain (LSE: ENT), the owner of Ladbrokes and Coral, has reported a swing to an annual loss despite a strong performance from its US business, BetMGM.

The company’s shares fell over 5% on Thursday morning after it revealed a pre-tax loss of £842.6 million for 2023, compared to a profit of £102.9 million the year before. This was due to a 60% increase in administrative costs.
